Over the next year I will be working with industry leaders to ensure that the message of health and safety is at the heart of the onshore wind renewable industry. Assessment of risk, consistency in approach and shared learning will lead to improved standards and everyone going home safe.
EDF Renewables believes Safety On will be a productive Health & Safety focused organisation for the Onshore Wind Industry. It will look to move safety issues forward in a way that takes best practice, helps develop and shape it for our industry but also shares that practice it in a collaborative and consistent way.
The key thing for our industry is that being able to demonstrate care and responsibility for our people is not just about having good policies and procedures it is about proactively implementing those things, and that is what SafetyOn is about, actively doing. It is my belief that what SafetyOn will achieve is to drive positive health, safety, and well-being culture through doing.
As a leader in the renewables industry, RES views safety in the workplace as paramount and we are committed to making sure our staff go home safe everyday. Being a leading member of the SafetyOn group allows RES to share our considerable expertise gathered over the past 37 years and help raise the standard of safety across the industry which will benefit everyone.
For Statkraft, health and safety is a top priority, and we work actively to continuously develop and improve our safety culture across all aspects of our business. As a Tier 1 member of SafetyOn we look forward to collaborating and sharing knowledge with other industry players, and work together to place health and safety at the forefront of all onshore wind development in the UK
